About Tusani African Arts Enterprise

The new South Africa has brought about an exciting environment for doing business and community development. The miracle led by Dr Nelson Mandela has led us to appreciate the beauty of our land, of humanity, and of God's creation.

Tusani is a Zulu word for marvel, just like the words of John Keats “a thing of beauty is a joy forever, awesome thing”.

The products of Tusani are made by rural African women from the Kingdom of the Zulu; the land of the great warriors and excellent craftswoman. Tusani company intends to promote the beauty and excellence of African art and bead work and to promote self-empowerment initiatives of South African women. In many cases the crafting women are the sole bread winners in their families. Tusani works directly with 80 women and various other established groups of women who require assistance with marketing.
